Mark Ingram

The 28th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, Mark Ingram has established himself as one of the premier rookie running backs in the league. Ingram’s powerful running style is the perfect complement to the already talented stable of running backs in the Saint’s offense. His first touchdown came in the preseason against the San Francisco 49ers on August 12, 2011. Ingram’s first official regular season touchdown came on September 25, 2011 against the Houston Texans on a 14-yard run. Ingram went on to score 5 touchdowns for the NFC South Champion Saints.

Born on December 21st, 1989 in Hackensack, NJ Ingram attended high school at the Flint Southwestern Academy in Flint, MI. As a senior he was an All-State selection in both football and track as a sprinter. He would ultimately choose to play football at the University of Alabama. Following his freshman year behind current NFL running back Glen Coffee, Ingram was selected to the SEC All-Freshman team. His most prolific season would be the following year in which Ingram would surpass Bobby Humphrey’s Alabama school record for most yards in a season with 1658 yards and 17 touchdowns and 334 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.

Ingram led his team to both and SEC Championship against Florida and a National Championship against Texas. Ingram won numerous accolades following that season including both the 1st team All-SEC and 1st team All-American selections, SN and SEC Player of the Year awards, and the Doak Walker award. His final season at Alabama would be marred by a knee injury at the beginning of the season but Ingram returned to form and finished the year with 875 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns and 282 receiving yards with 1 touchdown.

Camp Director Rod Huber

Rod Huber returned in 2010 for his 11th season as the College of Mount St. Joseph’s head coach. Huber, who directed the team’s defense in 2007-08, has 27 years of coaching at the high school and college level and has been on the Mount football staff since the program’s inception in 1990.

Coach Huber led the program to a three straight HCAC championship (2004-2006), and the Lions 9-2 overall mark last season was their eighth straight season of a .500 or better record. The Lions claimed the 2009 HCAC championship with a 7-0 mark, their fourth HCAC title in program history, which enabled them to qualify to the NCAA Division III playoffs, marking their fifth overall appearances in the post-season tournament. The Mount is also the only team in HCAC history to record three straight conference titles. In addition, Huber was named HCAC Coach of the Year last fall, his third such honor.

Huber has over 25 years of coaching at the high school and college level and has been on the Mount football staff since the program’s inception in 1990. Prior to becoming the third head coach in Lions’ football history in 2000, Huber was a defensive position coach and spent four years as the Lions’ defensive coordinator. He also coached the College’s wrestling program for four seasons. During the 1999-2000 season the team garnered Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament and NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships. Huber was named conference and recional Coach of the Year that season.

Upon graduation from high school, he entered the U.S. Army where he played football and spent time in Germany and the U.S. After leaving the Army, Huber enrolled at the University of Cincinnati where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in social studies education in 1988. He began his coaching career at Lloyd Memorial High School ( Kentucky ) in 1982, moved on to Glen Este for one season (1986) and later coached outside linebackers at C.A.P.E. High School (1987-1988).
